Google’s recent announcement that they are enhancing Google Images with similarity search we see as an interesting development and the beginning of the maturing of the market for visual search technologies.

Already we are seeing the trend towards the ‘consumerisation’ of business I.T with many CIO’s facing increasing demands from business users for flexibility in the devices and applications that they use at work.

We see that this will also extend to include demands for a better user experience from their business applications as employees judge ease of use against the ‘apps’ they use in their personal life.  Searching for images is one of those experiences that is not great and can be very frustrating. We look forward to increasing interest in our solutions as businesses and software vendors look for ways to respond to these demands.
